The mission of Trees
for Mt. Lemmon
is to
assist the Mt. Lemmon community to recover from the Aspen Fire
- by protecting remaining trees
- by providing education and resource materials for the re-vegetation/reforestation of private and community properties
- by advocating for healthy forest policies and facilitating the implementation of such policies
- by convening a continuous dialoge between the various private and public entities affecting the watershed of Mt. Lemmon
Mt. Lemmon is part of a Sky Island in the Catalina Mountains with a unique variety of Ponderosa Pine and other vegetation. Trees for Mt. Lemmon is committed to providing education, trees, shrubs and other plants to the Summerhaven community in an effort to renew and maintain growth indigenous to Mt. Lemmon .
